The Boat Beneath the Tree
Rhodes, Greece
Eternally anchored in the shadow of her glory.
At first, she seemed misplaced.
A boat resting beneath the shade of an old tree, far from the shoreline, where no boat was expected to be.
Yet the longer I stood there, the less unusual she became.
The weathered wood echoed the colours of the earth. The branches embraced her as if they had always belonged together. She had become part of the landscape so quietly that her presence almost disappeared within it.
Sometimes, time does not erase what we leave behind.
It simply teaches it how to belong.
